Helicopter

Sunday June 22nd – No shower for 9 days.

Surprise ! Today we flew over the ice thanks to Jack ! He has to take pictures of the bay with a camera fastened under the fuselage. Awesome ! The arrival of the helicopter on the beach opens the festivities and creates a small crowd.

Curiosity

Again, my mind goes blank over the ice field. What a scenery, what a chance ! Here and there, some dark areas are visible. They could be microscopic algae blooms. I want to jump of the craft to collect samples from them.

When we got over the Polar Haven, I notice the shadow of the helicopter on the ice and this vision make me think to Jeff Pachoud’s photography that won the ‘sport’ category of  this year WorldPress event . I take the picture for the fun.

Polar Haven

We also fly over some islets and unspoiled shores. There, the ground is surprisingly marked with striations. Staggering. Gorgeous. Like these tiny sandboxes that are found in shrink cabinets but, bigger and natural.
