The granite peaks ascend to touch the sky,
Where wispy clouds in silent patterns glide.
The eagle's realm where mountain spirits fly,
And shadows down the verdant slopes do hide.
A vast expanse of blue and endless light,
Does stretch across the valley far below.
The rugged earth is bathed in morning bright,
As sunbeams make the mountain ridges glow.
From rocky heights where hardy shrubs reside,
To forests deep where ancient shadows sleep.
The world is wide and open, deep and wide,
With secrets that the silent summits keep.
In majesty the mountain stands so tall,
A grand display that captures one and all.

A lonely spire of green against the blue,
With needles bright beneath the summer sun.
It stands where mountain winds may whistle through,
Before the winter's icy work is done.
Beyond the branch, the jagged summits rise,
In robes of white and shadows deep and dark.
They touch the edge of vast and open skies,
Where silent peaks leave their eternal mark.
The valley sleeps in shadows far below,
While light descends upon the alpine crest.
In quiet strength, the hardy saplings grow,
Upon the rugged mountain's rocky breast.
Though storms may howl and heavy snows may fall,
The spirit stands against the mountain's call.

Upon the earth where jagged stones reside,
Small blossoms peek through cracks of dusty brown.
The mountain slope is steep and open wide,
Beneath a sky that wears a azure crown.
The wispy clouds like silk are spun on high,
In swirling patterns through the endless blue.
A silent world beneath the summer sky,
Where light and shadow play a dance so true.
The tiny leaves reach up to touch the light,
Amidst the gravel and the mountain stone.
A scene of quiet, wild, and natural sight,
Where life and rock have made their home alone.
Though small the flowers in this rugged land,
They bloom with strength by nature's steady hand.

The image shows a wide expanse of snow marked by subtle, reddish-pink streaks. These discolorations, known as redbeds, are caused by the presence of snow algae. Dark patches of exposed rock or dirt break up the white surface under bright light. snow algae (red)

Upon the frozen plains of white and cold,
A subtle blush begins to stain the snow.
Not crimson bright, nor stories often told,
But traces where the hidden life may grow.
The summer sun descends with gentle heat,
To wake the tiny cells within the frost.
In pinkish lines, the winter's end is sweet,
Where once the world in silent white was lost.
These redbeds mark the passage of the year,
A pigment born of light and melting ice.
Though vast and empty, life is drawing near,
In colors rare and patterns most precise.
Across the drift, the rosy shadows creep,
While ancient giants wake from winter sleep.

A miniature wonder, rarely seen,

In this quiet grove where memories are made.

In peaceful grace and wild harmony.

Where frozen snow clings to the rocky steep.
No path is seen upon the rugged track,
While silent giants in the darkness sleep.
A sense of awe within the tempest lies,
As heavens churn in wild and restless flight.
The sun is lost behind the weeping skies,
And day is swallowed by the coming night.
Though darkness reigns upon the mountain crest,
The sleeping earth finds momentary rest.

Until the day's bright race is finally run.

In every bud that starts its summer show.
Though seasons pass and colors fade away,
The bloom remains to grace the passing day.
